Community Bookshelf

Giving books new journeys and new readers.

Community Bookshelf is the charitable heart of The Fabled Brew.

Through donated and surplus books, we aim to place stories into schools, community organisations and the hands of readers who may otherwise face barriers to accessing books.

Why Access To Books Matters

Books do more than tell stories. They open doors to knowledge, creativity and opportunity while helping communities learn, connect and grow.

📚

Reading Opens Doors

Books expand knowledge, spark imagination and create opportunities that can shape a person’s future.

âĪïļ

Building Communities

Shared stories bring people together, encourage conversation and strengthen connections between readers.

ðŸŒą

Supporting Lifelong Learning

Access to books nurtures curiosity, learning and personal growth at every stage of life.

How Community Bookshelf Works

Every donated book follows a simple journey — from a generous donor to a new reader, school or community organisation.

1

Donate

Supporters donate books they no longer need, helping stories continue their journey.

2

What Happens To My Donated Books?

Every donated book helps support the wider mission of The Fabled Brew.

Books donated to The Fabled Brew may be sold to support our mission, distributed through Community Bookshelf, used in reading and creative programmes, or shared with partner organisations.

Every donation helps keep books in circulation and supports literacy, reading and creativity within communities.

Send It Yourself

Package your books and send them directly to us using a courier or postal service of your choice.

📜

Let Us Arrange It

Contribute the postage cost and we’ll arrange a shipping label for you, making the process as simple as possible.

We call this covering the cost of the journey back to the shelves. Offering both options gives supporters flexibility while helping us keep Community Bookshelf sustainable as it grows.
